Cornerstone Kids - Cornerstone Church

Welcome to Cornerstone Kids! Our goal is to help children, ages 4 weeks to 5th grade, build their lives on Jesus. We want to partner with parents as they share the gospel with the kids in their home. At Cornerstone, we create a safe, fun and nurturing environment for kids to learn about Jesus and build lasting friendships.

Safety is our number one priority. All of our volunteers have been background checked and trained prior to serving in our children’s ministry. When you arrive at Cornerstone, we will take you through a specific check in process to ensure your child’s safety.

We believe children learn the most when they are having fun! In each room, we provide unique activities that reinforce the message of the bible story in creative ways. Our awesome volunteers are work hard to invest in and care for every child.

As we seek to equip parents in discipling their children, we offer a variety of resources for every phase of childhood. We want to provide all the tools you need to assist you in sharing the gospel of Jesus with your children. Check out our Parent Resource area for more information!

CKjr. has classrooms covering 4 weeks through 5K, and our curriculum is based on three central truths that are reinforced with every month’s theme. By the time they move up into CK3D, they will absolutely know:

Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever

For our babies, we offer all the cuddles and playtime they could want with soft music in the background. We have baby-safe, sanitized toys and repeat fun little games or songs each month such as, “Peek-a-boo! God loves you!” For our toddlers, we mingle a brief Bible story and fun activities in with cuddles and play time with baby-safe, sanitized toys. Many of the activities are repeated all month long as they are meant to be fun reinforcements of that month’s lesson. For our preschoolers, we have a different lesson each week, centered around that month’s theme with activities, games, and crafts. CK3D combines 1^st-6^th graders in one classroom for a full worship service, and our curriculum is based on three central truths or “dimensions” as we like to call them, that are reinforced with every month’s theme. By the time they move up into youth group, they will absolutely know:

I Can Trust God No Matter What
I Need to Make the Wise Choice
I Should Treat Others the Way I Want to Be Treated

Before the service starts, they enjoy free play in the game room, building community and friendships. Once the service starts, we have worship, small groups, an engaging Bible story (by video) and a review game. Every month has its own theme with real life application for children. Some of the lessons include learning what the Bible says about self-control, contentment, compassion, wisdom, etc. and how this applies at home and school situations. They also learn a memory verse every month which coincides with that month’s theme. Check out our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/thecornerstonekids/ Lead Characters is a leadership program available for our 5^th and 6^th graders. They’re not just learning and worshipping with younger children, they’re also helping to lead them. Our Lead Characters take on various roles of responsibility in the service, including running the audio/visual equipment, being assistant worship leaders, passing out materials to children and parents, assisting with review games, and escorting visiting families to their appropriate rooms. They are mentored as they learn how leadership is an act of servanthood done with excellence. Participation in the leadership program is voluntary and requires the written consent of the parent and child.

First Time Guests
On your first visit, we will enter you into our security database. We will need names of parent or guardian and children, address and phone number, and any allergy or special needs of which we might need to be aware. You’ll find us on the second floor wing. Let us know you’re visiting, and we’ll make sure you get escorted to the appropriate place. If any need arises, we will contact you via text or by security code on the main screen in the sanctuary.
Security
Our children’s workers go through a background check, our own security team (including police officers in plain clothes) patrols our campus, and we use a paging system to reach you if necessary.
